COMMUNITY REQUEST: Do you have some ideas for a new website for young people affected by the bushfires? Can you help?
‘Your Bushfire Space' is a project that aims to provide online support to young people who have been affected by the 2009 Victorian bushfires both directly and indirectly, with a focus on mental health and emotional wellbeing.
DONATION - A Cello has been offered as a donation from a woman relocating to Sydney for someone affected by the bushfires last year.

COMMUNITY REQUEST: The World Trace Centre complex on the Northbank of the Yarra would like to display images of the rebuilding of Victorian bushfire affected communities in their large gallery space. Sumbmissions required ASAP
FUNDING AVAILABLE - The Department of Primary Industries and Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority have funding available from the Australian Governments Caring for our Country program for environmental projects on private land (conditions apply).

19/08/09 - The Radio National "Australia Talks" program will host a discussion on the management of bushfires in Australia tomorrow night (Thursday August 20th 2009) between 6pm and 7.30pm.
Australia Talks is a nationally broadcast program that involves an in depth discussion on one topic with several invited guests and talkback calls.
One of the guests on Thursday night will be Gary Hughes, a survivor of the Black Saturday bushfires who lost his home and narrowly escaped with his life.
03/08/09 - As part of the ongoing Thursday night gatherings for people affected by the bushfire, this Thursday the 6th of August will feature Kieran Barry from Rapidwall. Kieran will explain the advantages of the Rapidwall system of housing construction. Everyone affected by the fire in anyway is welcome to join.
